Charles' characterization is the literal reason I'm reading this at this point. I love his character so much and can not believe how much he has grown. On the other hand, I still dislike Marie. I don't find anything likable in her personality and I am aware that she isn't meant to be a likable character but I just find her character lacking many of the things I like to see in developing antagonists and overall pointless.
