This book broke my heart numerous times. I loved it.
It's been a while since I read a fantasy book with a single first person POV. In the beginning everything felt very distanced because the MC himself was a child with much to learn. Fitz saw and heard many things but couldn't give the reader context yet. I loved slowly learning more about the world and seeing how characters and relationships grew throughout the book. Can't wait to find out what happens in the sequel.
