I absolutely devoured this book! I loved that the strong willed FMC who was matter of fact and didn't whine or act helpless at all. She knew how to fight and wasn't afraid to do what she had to. Her relationship with the other characters especially the MMC were well developed and had plenty of fun and banter. This was an interesting take on a fantasy world and the type of magic system. Fae fantasy is a favourite of mine so I enjoyed that aspect a lot. There was some predictable plot but I enjoyed it immensely regardless. And there were a few things I did not see coming. It covered quite a few favourite tropes of mine but in an organic way that didn't feel like ticking boxes. I loved the romance side of it and how that developed throughout. I'm definitely excited for more including POVs from some of the male characters like Kingfisher and Carrion.
