Royal Replicas by Michael Pierce

Wanted to love this Book but didn't
I was so excited by the premise that I bought all three books before I read the first one. A royal succession story but each of contenders for the throne is a clone sounded amazing.
However, I found the book kinda disappointing. I don't know if the author did a good enough job of flushing out nature versus nurture (a hard conceptual concept to be sure) and distinguishing the clonettes from each other.
Plus I found the love story fall flat as it was never clear why the clonette whose POV we follow was so special to the prince and the Prince was kinda wishy-washy. (I will be honest some of this could have been that I only have enough patience for about 2 will the won't they breakups.
