This was absolutely delightful. Like full-on swoony, and completely adorable.
Chester and Lawson are best friends, having met in Vet school, they’ve become inseparable. They are not only roommates but also the newest Interns at the Vet Shop Boys clinic.
They both feel completely at home there, and make quick friends with the other vets. So when they learn that Chester is on a mission to make his grumpy, Christmas-hating best friend see the beauty of the holiday, the others can’t resist joining in. And maybe Christmas won’t be the only thing he finds to love.
Chester is an adorably sunshiny marshmallow who always sees the best in things. He balances Lawson, grumpy and sarcastic, with good reasons to be a little bitter, but still lovely and kind. They are both super likeable and fit perfectly with the rest of the Vet Shop Boys.
This is a low-angst story, but it’s hella lovely and deliciously Christmassy. If grinning and swooning are your thing then you’ll really enjoy this novel. And with so many great cameos, it was a great reminder of all the wonderful guys we’ve met along the way. And there are some cruel teases to future stories that we are going to have to impatiently wait for.
