Let me start by saying that this is not my normal read, at least the fantasy element so I wasn't entirely sure if I was going to enjoy these as someone who normally shy's away from most fantasy romance. I am SO GLAD I gave this book a try! A great reminder not to judge a book based on one facet.
This book starts by introducing you to Luminita, a strong woman who has learned a great deal from watching her family triumph and fall, perhaps too much?
“The fool dies worrying about someone else",
a Romanian proverb Luminita shares at the very beginning of her story…keep this in mind as you read.
We learn there is something different about Luminita and she uses that ability to track down Aaron. Aaron is your villainous MMC who couldn't be more apathetic…or so we think..?
Once these characters meet they form an interesting union. Full of sarcasm, tension (yes, that kind of tension) and hilarious bickering. You can't help but continue on to see what's next.
This book will also pull at your heart and really make you think about the choices made…I know I found myself wanting to shake both of them at times. 😂
Overall, I really enjoyed this first Novella, Draga & The Savage: Dragobete. I'm so thankful I got to jump right into the next one, Draga & The Savage: Dracul!!
Thank you to Jenny Allen for the opportunity to read and review!
I received a copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
