This book is amazing. It is kind of like a detective story, with "magicians" as the main characters. They are called "Others" in the books. There are vampires and werewolves and the Others are divided up into two factions the Night Watch and the Day Watch. They are locked in an eternal struggle, and it is awesome. It takes place in modern day Moscow. This book focuses on the forces of the Light, those in the Night Watch.
