The Love Interest by Victoria Walters
2.0
Meagan and Athieee’s reviews have said all I felt about this book.
I also learned that I don’t particularly like reading about a character writing a romance novel in a romance novel. It was dull and didn’t add anything substantial to the plot.
I also don’t like the sexy librarian trope. Just forget it.
There was banter yes but no wit or smarts in it. It was just repeating the same thing the other one said and just characters lusting over one another.
It may have had more potential if instead of the characters waiting 10 years for sparks to fly, they had waited about 2 years. I don’t like the sound of missed time. And more than that, if they were both less sexually experienced, the dialogue could have been better. Less lust and more depth.
At least now I know for sure what I don’t like.
I need to get better at DNF’ing.
