That was a perfect witchy read for an afternoon. I really liked all the characters, although Abigail was a little overemotional at times, and made a few leaps in logic.

I am confused why Noreen was involved with any of it. It was never explained WHY Lilith needed her to free Karla. And why didn’t anyone even TRY to transform Karla back once she was freed? There must have been a way.

Also, I don’t even understand Edith’s rationalizing. She kept saying that she couldn’t let Karla leave, but it’s not like her roaming the forest as a monster really kept her in Edith’s life. But control freaks will say anything as an excuse, I guess.

Overall, solid story!
