I love how the author doesn't picture Parker as a victim of her blindness. In fact, apart from a slight incident, nobody treats her like a disabled person. There are slipups here and there, but for most of the novel she is treated like anyone else, with just the difference that she cannot see.

It was a very different subject from what I usually read (I tend to read books centered more around paychological than physical illnesses) but I'm glad I picked it up.
