When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead

5.0

4.5 stars ... I really wasn't overly impressed at the start. I mean, I liked it, but it hadn't really caught my attention and I was a little confused. I even stopped reading this to read [b:A Wrinkle in Time|33574273|A Wrinkle in Time (Time Quintet, #1)|Madeleine L'Engle|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1507963312l/33574273._SX50_.jpg|948387] (it wasn't necessary but I wanted to review it) but it all came together in the end. Boy did it ever.

I was surprised when I came here to GoodReads to make my review and ... I'd already read (and reviewed) this book! I did NOT remember it at all! Usually, even if it's been years, a book, especially one with the unique touches that this has, would seem familiar, enough that I'd come check. Oh well, I'm really glad I re-read it. I don't know if it counts as a re-read if you really don't remember reading it the first time ;)

I know I read it myself the first time (before I got into audiobooks). I did go with the audio experience this time - good narrator.
