I've wanted to read these books for years due to loving the TV show Bones which used them as inspiration and I finally got around to trying one. The only thing in common with the show is the main character's name and occupation. I found it hard to immerse myself in the story, all the French-isms were annoying. I also didn't like the fact that it felt like I needed a degree to even understand what was being talked about most if the time. Also not enough live female characters.
