A Queen of Ruin by K.F. Breene

5.0

Review from last year:

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and series, and it was just super creative. I could tell the author put a lot of time and care into the world, the species, and the thought of how everything comes full circle. I would've loved a short look into the future of how their daughter turned out, just because of the irrational/stubborn personalities both nyfain and Finley had.

Essentially, this book is a beauty and the beast retelling. It's about Finley, a commoner girl who is trying to heal her village from a plague like sickness, and she has amazing healing abilities using a plant called everlass. To get to the everlass though, she has to go into this field where the beast tends to attack people for going to. This beast was a dragon, also known as Nyfain, the prince of the mad king. Turns out they are true mates, and must destroy the demon king to free their people from the curse.

Overall I felt really satisfied with this book! The book really wrapped up all the loose ends in a way I feel a book should, so I wasn't left questioning anything or wondering what happened after besides for more epilogue type stuff.
