Holy fucking shit dude. I haven’t read an adult fantasy this good since I read lord of the rings legitimately. The characters are impeccable, complicated and flawed human beings that have you rooting for them to win and also to be better. The politics and conflict make sense, and don’t arise out of nowhere. Speaking of, the world building is insane. The ending took me out, first of all the fight scene and who’s dead and who isn’t but are they really alive? And the twist with Jamshid being a Nahid brings up so many questions: is he Manizheh’s son? Are him and Nahri siblings? If he’s more pure blooded than Nahri and Ghassan finds that out, what does that mean for both of them? So many questions I can’t wait to find out the answers to in the next book oh my god this series is amazing.
