The 26th of November: A Pride and Prejudice Comedy of Farcical Proportions by Elizabeth Adams

5.0

I read this in a day ;) I'm LOVING these twists on the P&P story! This one, a "Groundhog Day" idea, with poor Elizabeth reliving the same day over and over again. Elizabeth feels the key to getting out of the loop is to prevent the party from leaving after the ball, and during her many repeats, she tries a variety of ways to accomplish this. It was so interesting to see the little things that she could do to change things for the better (encouraging Jane to show her feelings more, recommending a simple piano piece to Mary to play, drugging Lydia and her mother so they don't attend ;) ... and the slightly different conversations and interactions with Darcy each night, that let her get to know him in a way she never would have otherwise.

I liked the epilogue, and then a few chapters from Darcy's perspective, which really helped give insight to his thoughts and feelings during this time.
