The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson
5.0
While I L♥VED this series ... I'll admit it took me a while to get through it (and I'm just talking about the original trilogy, I haven't read the second trilogy yet). The length of each was a little daunting and between books I went for lighter fare, easier reading. I read book one 02/2013, didn't get back to it for year for the sequel in 03/2014 ... then I meant to get back to it for a while but didn't until now 03/2017. Even with such a stretch in between books, I was able to get back into the story easily, which surprised me. I guess it had been memorable enough!
I had originally considered attempting audio with this edition ... but after reading the first two, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to adapt to others doing voices. I wasn't sure if MY name pronunciation would match (as there are many unique names) and I knew from previous books, that I'd probably want to highlight sections and quotes that impacted me. So I went with the Kindle edition, borrowed from my local library. I barely made it through the book (3 week loan).
This was an incredible end to this saga. As others have mentioned, it did bring everything full circle. Explained everything. I cannot comprehend the imagination of this author to create such a unique world, yet have it so fully fleshed out.
