The Catch by T.M. Logan

3.0

After reading Trust ME by T. M. Logan earlier in the year I was so excited to read some more by him. The premise for The Catch was very intriguing and (I think) every father’s nightmare. Which was why it seemed so good.

I really enjoyed the storytelling and the small snippets of information and clues left throughout the book but I did feel it lacked a little oomph. The writing was good, the plot was intriguing, but it just didn't grip me and give me any impulse to carry on reading.

I guessed the ending right from the beginning so that kind of felt very anticlimactic for me but on the whole, it was a decent book, and if you’re new to crime thrillers I’d say give it a shot because you may very well enjoy it. Perhaps my head is just too full of other crime stories that I’m too good at guessing what may be the ending and spoiling it for myself.
