Okay right off the bat, let me say, this one in the Dark Olympus series is BY FAR my favorite! Apollo and Cassandra are definitely the couple that I am obsessed with!
I have always and will always enjoy Katee Robert's writing and this one was really well done. I know that a lot of people's complaint about the book was the lack of spice and also how plot heavy it was, I politely disagree. I felt the plot was probably one of the best of the series and though the spice wasn't on every page, it was still heavily there.
Spoilers!
I like that they were both equally pining for each other and both had their reasons to hold off, Cassandra because of her past and distrusting the Thirteen (rightfully so) and Apollo for not wanting to pressure her into anything due to her past and mistrust of the Thirteen.
I too wanted to punch Minos in the face and wanted him to die as much as every character in the book did, that man was a flipping c*nt. I did like that we got to see a little bit of Ariadne, Icarus, Pandora, Theseus and the Minotaur a little more. I would love to see them fleshed out in the next few books a little more if possible. I know we get more of Pandora in the next book so I am looking forward to that.
Hermes was always a kind of "I don't know enough about this character to like or dislike" for me but girl, whatever "problem" is coming up she better have a valid reason otherwise she sucks cause I was hella pissed. Like miss girl, you let out a secret that can even get you killed?
Overall this book was an amazing 4.75/5 for me and spice level, definitely give it a 3.5/5. Love this series and I cannot wait to see it unfold.
