Surprised how much I liked this book! I tend to avoid books where lead characters are fantasy. But I really enjoyed the magical realism here. My husband and I disagree on how “Jinni” should be pronounced. He says obviously “genie” based on the context HOWEVER I read the whole book saying “Jinny” in my head so now I can’t think of it any other way.
Overall quite enjoyable, some parts were slow.
