The Half King by Melissa Landers
2.0
I thought for a good second it was going to be good and everyone was just judging it harshly like they do.... man, I was wrong. I have never wanted to DNF a book so badly, and in the home stretch at that.
The "spicy" was so cringe.
While I appreciate that there was no miscommunication trope. Their relationship gave 7th graders that just got their first boy/girl friend. So painful to witness. Just typing about it put stank face on my face.
I will NOT be reading the second one. I will wait for some other poor unfortunate soul to do it and then ask what happened because I need to know what the end meant, but not enough to get through another 500 page book.
