How to Keep House While Drowning: A Gentle Approach to Cleaning and Organizing by KC Davis

informative reflective fast-paced

I love when I read books at (accidentally) the exact right time and every bit just resonates in the best way. This was so useful just as a simple reframe around cleaning (but also things like hygiene, exercise, and other tasks that can get stuck in morality traps). What if I’m worthy of a space that makes me feel good? What is the bare minimum I can do when things are tough to ensure my space is functional? Are there kindnesses I can do for future me by completing x right now? I thought it was a bit weirdly organized and would have liked a bit more specifics/actionable tips, but I greatly appreciate what this book was doing and think these are ideas I will take with me for a long time.
