I read this when it first came out and the TV show coming out inspired me to read it again. It is long and there are times when I think the basic story might be too simple. But the detail and meandering character of the book is part of its charm. It really takes more than 200 pages to even get started with the main story and even then it is still setting up side stories. If you like long books, this is well worth reading.
