The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak

4.0

Stella, Cara and Drew are triplets, and while they’re used to doing everything together, the one thing Stella and Drew can’t do is keep their sister, Cara, healthy while she’s battling cancer. The Heartbreakers is the IT boy band that Cara is obsessed with, and even though she hoped to be out of the hospital in time to attend a concert, another setback makes that impossible. When Stella and Drew decide to drive to an autograph signing to get Cara the perfect Christmas gift, nothing goes according to plan.

Oliver, JJ, Xander, and Alec make up The Heartbreakers and with four different personalities and some internal struggle, the rumor mill about a possible breakup seems to pop up everywhere. When Stella has a chance encounter with Oliver, having no idea who is he and why anyone would like The Heartbreakers music, sparks fly until they don’t?

A mix between a coming of age and enemies to lovers, The Heartbreakers is a YA Romance with a lot of angst. I liked the writing style, and I felt the pacing was solid. The back and forth between Stella and Oliver kept me going, and I really thought Zander was the sleeper bandmate you couldn’t help but love.

This was my first Ali Novak novel and it won’t be my last! A huge thanks to Sourcebooks Fire for the PR box, I loved the star sunglasses
