Not my first read by this author, glad I read her later novels first or this book wouldn't get such a rating. This book has a bit much going on and needed some editing.

Theo is a troubled seventeen year old, who is dealing with best friend who has been missing for four years. During this time she ended up in an institution for an eating disorder. This story really packs a punch when you realize she was groomed at age thirteen by a sexual predator who was really looking for another victim to abuse. After returning home she resumes her normal life of ballet and school. This is all shattered when her best friend is found and returned home. As he shuts himself off from her, and she learns about the suspect she does more dangerous things.
