Tales from the Gas Station: Volume One by Jack Townsend
5.0
I have seen this book a lot on the BOH group on Facebook and remembered I had it on Audible. Trying to escape my book slump, I decided it was time to dive in.
This book was great. We have Jack, the quirky gas station employee who experiences all kinds of things while on shift. And he doesn't sleep. Like ever. But that's a story that is covered pretty well in the book. His doctor suggests he keep a journal, so when he goes to start, he makes it into a blog. And that's when the weird gets even more crazy.
The stories range from crazy raccoons to supernatural events, beings, and everything in between. And this book made me laugh out loud a lot. It is definitely a humorous, creepy read. I'm going to have to read the rest of the stories now because I enjoyed this one so much.
4.5 stars rounded up.
