I'm reading this whole series completely out of order, whoops! It was so fun to see some of The Long Game (and the plane scene, *sobs*) from a different perspective -- but this was also just a really great hockey romance in its own right.

I really liked Troy and the journey he took to better himself. I like that he was committed to bettering himself because he realized he was an asshole in the past, and not for a relationship -- self-growth always rings more true when it's intrinsically motivated.

Troy and Harris were adorable together. I loved how much of the bumbling crushing on each other part we got before they finally kissed. There were tons of great scenes of them getting to know each other and flirt and be cute, both before and after they got together.

I remember at one point thinking to myself that this would probably be a 4 star read, but in hindsight, I'm not really sure why I thought that? I really enjoyed it!
