The Labyrinth of Dreaming Books by Walter Moers

this is basically an entire book of exposition recounting aspects of bookholm. the recount was enjoyable and interesting, but it ends in a cliffhanger ‘where the story really begins’ and indicates a sequel that doesn’t seem to exist, which was frustrating.
