Diavola by Jennifer Marie Thorne

'Black magic, Italian style.'
I don't think I can overstate just how good this book is! Snarky, scary, and compulsively readable. Anna's parents rent a villa in Italy for a family vacation. It might be haunted, but the real horror is Anna's family. And also the lady on the cover. Creepy! This is going down as an all-time favorite.
'Anna realized she didn’t trust anything in this house. Not even the walls. Definitely not the people.'
