The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary

I really loved this book. The concept was original and enticing, and the main characters were lovable and vibrant. You really rooted for them, and you really wanted them to fall in love and be happy. It brought up some great themes about what it means to feel like you're home somewhere and how you carve out space for yourself to heal after you've been hurt, and how you have a healthy and fulfilling relationship once you've been in one that drained you. I also liked how subtly the emotional abuse was woven in, and how realistic the treatment of it felt within the storyline. This book left me with an ooey-gooey, lovely feeling, and it made me very happy!
