Gray by Rebekah Borucki
3.0
I think as an extrovert I wanted something more to happen. However, this is an introvert's dream and representation in full form.
I don't like to feel gray. Gray is dull, boring, and blah. Sometimes, I feel that way and I don't like to be in that type of space.
As a adult picture book, I understand that some people enjoy their gray and that is the main point here: to let those enjoy the moments in their own way. Forcing someone else to be like you is not only selfish, but it is limiting how you understand others.
Gray is okay for some people but it's just not for me. I want to be yellow like the sun or as vibrant as a red cardinal.
The images are plain, elegant, and simple because nothing else is necessary and it complements the woman in the book who is content with her grayness. They work well together.
I'm not sure I would recommend this to too many people unless I knew they enjoy their alone time and rainy days.
