Introductions by C.L. Stone

I hate to write a bad review, but this was awful. Straight up the worst book I have read so far this year. The synopsis on the back of the book I feel is very misleading. The book focuses on Sang, the new girl in town. Sang lives in an abusive household and is on her way from running away from home when she runs into Kota. From there, she meets all of Kota’s friends and teachers and is introduced to the mysterious Academy. That’s all there is to the book. It is literally her being introduced to other characters. All of the characters are boys or men. All of them are ridiculously good looking and all are deeply enchanted by her when she really has no personality to speak of. This seems to be written by a horny teenager that doesn’t seem to know how people interact with each other. The characters are bland. All of the boys and men are obsessed with Sang for who knows what reason and the book ends with the introduction to the Academy. The Academy is probably the most interesting thing that the book would have to offer, but it’s cut off to go into book two, which I won’t be reading. This had potential, but it was a total dumpster fire.
