Never Say Whatever Again by Maz Evans

2.5

If License to Chill was fast paced and slapstick, this second book in the series tipped over into chaotic and slightly manic. Too many new (slightly unhinged) characters, to add to the original cast of super spies, retired super spies, former villains and of course, Umbra. And while the characters and their dynamic in book 1 were warm and endearing, book 2 shows the more unattractive sides of their characters - Vi and Russell are self-centred in their own ways, Easter seems to spend most of the book screaming.
