A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
4.0
I saw this book recommended on TikTok, and it was wonderful, although by far one of the saddest books I’ve ever read. At times, I had to stop or had a hard time getting through some particularly disturbing parts. The characterization and depth was realistic and deeply poignant. I did like the representation and multifaceted approach of disability, though it was frankly, depressing. Some of the plot dragged on, but it was satisfying to follow the characters throughout their lifetime. I would recommend to a friend, though I personally don’t think I’ll read it again for a long time.
