I should have enjoyed this book. Nadia was a wonderful character, and the plot was interesting, but too many of the characters I think we were meant to like (especially the men) were horrible people, and Nadia (who seems mostly like a smart woman) constantly bends her will to accommodate men who don’t deserve her.

Even worse, this book ends with a significant cliffhanger. In my opinion, a book should be a complete story. A final-chapter cliffhanger shows a lack of respect for your readers and for the money they (hopefully) spent to buy your book.
