Read in preparation for the PKDick Awards, any other nominee is going to have to be spectacular to be better than this one. Set in an ongoing slow apocalypse where the PNW is simultanously drowning and burning away, this slim book is about people and humanity and hope. And the language is just stunning. The author is lush and precise and enveloping in her language. Loved it and want to read it again already.
