How Pleasure Works: The New Science of Why We Like What We Like by Paul Bloom
2.0
Bloom had some great ideas for this book. Why do we like the kind of art we like, or the kind of sex we like, or really anything we like? Good premise, but it didn't really deliver. He had some good takeaway points, but overall I felt like he left too many questions unanswered. He could have easily written a whole book on just one of his topics...or at the very least focused on each one individually chapter-wise. Not a bad book, I just thought it could've used more detail and explaination to prove his point.
