This book focused a lot on racism in a way that did not seem productive at all and actually seemed like some racist fantasy written with a thin veil of “racism is bad :/“
I almost didn’t finish this book (I wish I didn’t) but I kept on because I read online that the author wants to point out how much the children of bigots have to change, but the mc literally didn’t change. There was no character development whatsoever until the last chapter but by then it’s far too late because the mc literally murdered a black kid just because he’s black and her dad told her to
