It's hard to describe how this book affected me. I was enraptured by the first page and rarely put the book down.

The writing was confidently simple and powerful. It illuminated the subtle parts of human interaction and created gripping prose.

Fredrik Backman is an amazing writer. He skillfully handled the complexity of his characters and the difficult subject matters. I was impressed with his stealth and sharp insight into issues relating to sexual assault cases and the mindset towards masculine responsibility.

This is an incredible book and I think it's bound to be my favourite this year. Highly recommended.
