3.5

3.5/ (Re-read 4/25/24) and I have to say it reads better the 2nd time around - I don’t know if it’s because I’ve read the entire series so far and got see them all interact in each others book, but I really enjoyed Silas & Mila’s relationship - yes things were fast paced but it made sense, especially considering the Robinsons hot on her trail with their schemes.

The dynamic of their relationship made sense considering how Silas was more so focused on trying to build a bond with his daughter & not wanting to mess things up with Mila in case things didn’t work out romantically for them - so I get why they took it slow but babby when the gas hit it HIT! Lol, I do think we could have benefitted from seeing a bit more couple interactions to really help seal the deal but like overall I really enjoyed this re-read and would recommend it. Bc let’s be real if it dragged out a bit more then it woulda possibly been too much.

(1st read: Dec. 23,2022-Dec. 24,2022) Nice novella but it could have benefited from being a little longer/having some parts more fleshed out - everything just moved so fast

I will say, I’m glad that Mila allowed Silas to have a relationship with Riyah, so that part wasn’t too drawn out but everything after that could have taken its time
