How awesome is this "children's" book? All kinds of awesome. The text, the art, the sheer mind-blowingness of it all... The author and the illustrator both are as fantastic here as in their other offerings. Adam Rex draws very un-childish art for (slightly older) children's books.

If you are a highly squeamish parent you might take objection to the violence, the depiction of underwear, or the use of the phrase "fuzzy little butt". But you would be wrong.

I grabbed this off the library shelf after barely a glance. Not for the kids, but most definitely for myself to enjoy.
