The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav
informative
inspiring
lighthearted
reflective
medium-paced

With the prefaces and forwards, the beginning reminded me of that family guy clip of studio logos before the movie starts

The actual content of the book was written in a prose that comes off profoundly abstract for me to understand, in some areas. I understand one paragraph and not the next. Resonance followed by confusion. I suppose this is the exact reason why the author recommends you revisit this several times. And Universal Consciousness, explained in a limited language is tough, I will admit. On the most part, I grasped the main idea of each chapter.
The audio is distracting sometimes. The author uses the terms “light” and “Light” and has to verbally distinguish between both. When this conundrum occurs, all I hear is “…light, lowercase ‘L’… Light, capital ‘L’… with a capital ‘L’… that’s a lowercase ‘L’…” It makes my head spin!! And then I have to pause and come to the physical text to understand the concept.
I didn’t participate in the study guide section, but found that it’s practically an entire summarization of the book and may be more impactful to read in its succinct format. And the prompts sound great for shadow work!!
Overall, a book that delves deeper into spirituality is, of a means, has value in my bookshelf. I would prefer to read this instead of listening. There is definite worth in the study guide.
