Play It Safe by Kristen Ashley

5.0

What can I say about this book that hasn’t already been said?
It’s emotional and passionate and incredible. The loyalty leaps off the page.
Playing is Safe is Ivey’s motto so she doesn’t get attached to anything or anyone in case her and her older brother Casey have to take off at a moment’s notice. She is a pool hustler; he is on the lookout for marks.
Only it’s Casey who gets a wild hare to stick around Mustang for a little bit.
Ivey see Gray and the connection the tether starts to pull these two together. Oh Ivey knows she needs to stay far far away from this handsome man but she can’t. He knows she is in town for nothing good but he can’t stay away any longer either.
Saying Ivey hasn’t had the best childhood is putting it mildly. Grey had the ideal childhood with adults who cared and loved him. Granted it wasn’t all peaches either.
Gray’s nickname for Ivey is swoon worthy “Dollface.” She gets all melty when he calls her this.
For me I loved how Gray stood up to her brother, up until then I didn’t think Casey was a bad guy but you kind of get so see who he really is.
Best fist date ever! One Ivey didn’t let anyone walk all over her; she stood up for herself. And the first kiss OMG the first KISS!!
Throughout the story things come to pass and they are separated through circumstance not by choice.
Ivey’s life gets thrown in to term oil but without that she never would have met Lash or Freddy. So even though I was heartbroken with the way the story was going. I love that she wasn’t alone.
“Say you love me, Ivey.”
“I love you, Gray.”
Best lines ever omg these are the best moments for me.
It really never gets easy for these two the heartbreak and the tears but oh you just have to keep on keeping on the story takes you on a wild and crazy ride. Oh the last few chapters and the epilogue omg its EPIC!!!
