[a:Fearne Hill|19829861|Fearne Hill|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1599822918p2/19829861.jpg] is a new author for me, and while I'm not a big fan of stories where there's a big gap of years between characters until they reach their HEA, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this one.
The journey she takes us through from Matt and Alex meeting, their separation and their reunion is profoundly rich in detail. Not only does it describe a time when queer people had to keep a low profile and felt they were broken, it also clearly shows us the division between social classes and the difference that a strong family bond makes against a neglectful and abusive one in the face of tragedy.
And as if that were not enough, it also takes us on a musical journey with songs from the time that accompany each chapter and further enrich the book.
In a few words, [b:Two Tribes|61441085|Two Tribes|Fearne Hill|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1657820707l/61441085._SY75_.jpg|96976357] is a story that fills all the senses, as if you could not only read it, but also smell it, touch it and listen to it.
I was given an advanced copy of this book and I voluntarily wrote a review.
