Okay I had a good time with Mr Librarian and Ms Restoration. I didn’t even realize exactly how the book was going to go in regards to both their pasts but I loved it. I was so proud of Honey for working through her fears of her past and letting love in again. I loved how she stood up for her mom in her father’s face even when her mom wasn’t supportive about that. I loved how she looked after her sisters and tried to get them out of the house when her parents were suffering. 

And Khalil, damn I felt for him and how he had lost his father and grandfather. I loved how he loved Honey and how he made sure to love her gently as she got used to him. How he made sure she was already okay, how he anticipated her needs and was just everything she didn’t know she wanted. I wish we knew more about the librarian business. It was explained but I needed a bit more. I also wish we saw more of Honey’s best friend.

I still don’t like Honey’s father. Like how disrespectful can you be to your kids. People who punish kids because of their parent don’t make a lick of sense to me. Y’all chose to stay in the relationship and you get mad that your daughter rightfully calls you out for disrespecting her mother? Miss me with that bs!! I was glad they finally divorced and hopefully Honey and her dad’s relationship got better.
