The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

“Life begins on the other side of despair.”
While this isn’t THE GREATEST PHILOSOPHICAL READ OF ALL TIME, I think you read this book when you need to, if that makes sense. I thought a lot to myself while reading, “Would I be the me I am today if my dad was still alive? If one of my best friends hadn’t died of cancer?” And that brings me back to that quote, and my answer: no. I wouldn’t. My life now is nothing I ever imagined for myself, and as much as I miss my dad and miss my best friend, all I can do is continue to learn to live with grief. And figure out this thing called life.
