This read was definitely hot. Its a wonderful security guy read. The only thing that I really disliked was the beginning of the book, specifically Brooks. He seemed so cocky and full of himself, but at the same time throughout the book he opened up, finally, to Darcy and definitely became lovable.

Darcy was a bit confusing, I will admit. She seemed levelheaded and then as soon as Brooks enters again, she seems to be very unsure of everything. Which is understandable, I mean who wouldn’t be after an ex enters the picture, again. But it all just rubbed me very weirdly. Especially when she was supposed to be anxious, it didn’t necessarily come off like she was or that the people around her were suspicious enough of he.

This read overall was great and I loved it. I definitely plan to read more by this author. A big reason why this did get a 3.5 star was because I felt like it wasn’t smutty enough, there was so many moments that the author could’ve added in some smut and make it more hot, but I digress.
