This is a fluffy easy to read romance book. Good if you are looking to read an HEA with some spice and a light plot line.
Jess is on her final strike with the magazine she writes for and is left with the daunting task of writing about a hot-shot artist, Xander, who notoriously hate journalists. Xander is quickly besotted with Jess and finds her as his next muse, demanding she fly to Italy and sit for him. Despite her desire to not be a plaything and be as professional as she can, she falls for him and his kind and giving nature.
What I loved:
-hot art guy calling ME his muse? 1000 times yes
-The sweater and chair scene had me cracking up
-I loved the spice, it is not too high on the spicy scale and played into the “I can relax with you” vibe
What I disliked:
-This is a show not tell book, by that I mean instead of describing character slowly by another character noticing them or describing a piece of them while they were doing something. It felt like here is “Jess and here is a complete synopsis of every part of her physically.”
-I really wish the happiness of the characters would marinate just a second longer. Something sweet and cute would happen and then barely a paragraph later, the characters would immediately squash the moment with a big reveal or emotional bubble burst.
-I wish they communicated better, I get that is a plot point but it could have teased out the story in a fun way
