Margo's Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe

5.0

This was such a delight.

The story is funny and compassionate, real because of its absurdity. The writing is sharp and clever. You can see Thorpe playing with language and structure, but because it's in the voice of Margo, such a curious, creative character, it doesn't feel like the reader is being toyed with. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute with this book.
