The History of Bees by Maja Lunde

4.0

I originally read some excerpts of this book for a university course where we were looking at climate disaster literature, and I’m happy to have finally come back and read the whole thing. Overall it was very solid, definitely a slow burn in that the plot really didn’t pick up until about the last third of the book, but the writing was so well done that it honestly didn’t matter. Lunde does an incredible job of demonstrating the dire situation that we are in with bees and climate change, while still showing us that there is time to change the course of our future.
