Santa's Secrets by K.C. Wells

I love that this was inspired by a Norwegian Postal commercial celebrating marriage equality. It was a powerful commercial, and this is a beautiful book.
It’s a neat story that starts when Anthony is 11 and takes us through to his 50s. That first Christmas was when discovered Santa was real. And year after year Santa returns to check on him, as time marches on, as Anthony gets older, they become friends. Anthony shares his secrets, his loves, and his losses. When he finally realizes he wants more from Santa, and that he loves Santa, he discovers Santa has fallen for him too.
But Santa is Santa, he doesn’t live in this realm, and he can only come to Anthony once a year. Is one night a year ever enough with the person you love? Especially when you’ve learned the secret heart of that man. There’s a way, but it will take big love to take the leap.
Even though is a story about Santa Claus, it has a realism to it that makes it beautiful but not candy cane sweet. It’s slow and tender.
